Standalone Prismm platform shuts down
Cvent is retiring the standalone Prismm platform and steering customers toward Cvent Event Diagramming (formerly Social Tables). Templates, favorites, and object groups do not migrate automatically, so planners and venues are choosing where their seating workflow lives next.
Prismm, the platform wedding planners and venues knew for years as AllSeated, is being wound down. Cvent acquired Prismm in April 2025 and announced that the standalone platform shuts down on December 31, 2026. The phase-out has already started: accounts are losing the ability to create new events between July and September 2026, and from October 1 the platform is view-and-export only.
Cvent's intended destination is Cvent Event Diagramming, an enterprise product priced and packaged for hotels and large venues. Prismm templates, favorites, and object groups do not migrate automatically, so most teams are rebuilding their setup somewhere regardless. That makes this a natural moment to choose a tool that matches how you actually work.
PlanSeats is a focused seating chart and floor plan tool for events: weddings, galas, corporate dinners, mitzvahs, and every other seated event. You import your guest list from a CSV, lay out tables on a real floor plan, seat guests by hand or with auto-assign, and share a live link with clients, venues, and caterers. Pricing is public and self-serve: a free plan for a small event and a Planner plan at $8.99 a month for unlimited guests and tables on one event.
What PlanSeats does not do is 3D venue visualization or virtual tours. If those are core to your venue sales process, Cvent Event Diagramming is the closer fit. If what you used Prismm for was seating charts, floor plans, and guest collaboration, PlanSeats covers that workflow without enterprise contracts or onboarding calls.

If Prismm was your seating and floor plan tool, PlanSeats covers that job without the enterprise venue sales suite attached.
Public pricing, month-to-month billing, and a free plan to evaluate with. No quotes, no procurement.
Send clients a view link or invite them as editors. Everyone sees the same live chart, just like Prismm's collaboration but simpler.
Yes. Cvent is sunsetting the standalone Prismm platform on December 31, 2026. New event creation is being switched off account by account between July and September 2026, and from October 1, 2026 Prismm is view-and-export only.
AllSeated rebranded as Prismm in January 2024, and Cvent acquired Prismm in April 2025. Cvent is now retiring the standalone platform and moving customers toward Cvent Event Diagramming, formerly Social Tables.
Yes, for seating charts, floor plans, and guest collaboration. PlanSeats covers the core Prismm seating workflow with public pricing and no contracts. It does not include 3D venue visualization or virtual tours.
Export your guest lists from Prismm as CSV files while exports are still available, create a PlanSeats account, import the CSVs, and rebuild your floor plan with the drag-and-drop editor. You can upload a photo or PDF of the venue floor plan and place tables on top of it. Most users finish in under 30 minutes.
Not automatically, anywhere. Cvent has said Prismm templates, favorites, and object groups do not migrate to Cvent Event Diagramming. In PlanSeats you can recreate a room layout once and reuse it for future events.
