How do I add columns, stairs or a built-in bar?

Use the Architecture section of the left panel. It has round and square columns, a stair, a restroom, an elevator, a fireplace and a built-in bar. Click one, then click the plan. Near a wall it lines up flush.

These are part of the building, so no table or guest can be placed on them. Select one to move or delete it.
