Can I auto-seat only some of my guests?

Yes. Tick the guests in the guest list and choose Auto-seat from the bar that appears. Only those guests are placed, and everyone else stays as they are.

This is handy for seating the family tables by hand and letting auto-seat fill in friends and colleagues.
