How do I make sure my floor plan is to scale?

Open the Room panel and choose Set scale. Draw a line over something you know the length of, such as a wall or a door, and type its real length. Every table and measurement then uses that scale.

The Room panel shows the current scale, or Not to scale yet when there is none. An upload usually finds the scale for you from the drawing, and asks you to confirm when it is unsure.

The longer the line you measure, the more accurate the scale. A whole wall beats a single door.
