Can I import my guest list from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload a CSV, TSV or TXT file and match its columns to guest fields. PlanSeats guesses the mapping from your headers, keeps couples and households together, and skips duplicates if you upload the same list twice.

Import the file

  1. Open your event and choose Guest list, then Import.
  2. Drop the file on the panel or choose it from your computer.
  3. Match each column to a guest field. The first few rows are shown so you can check.
  4. Choose Import guests.

Coming from Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets

Save the sheet as CSV first: in Excel choose File, Save As, then CSV UTF-8; in Numbers choose File, Export To, CSV; in Google Sheets choose File, Download, CSV. Keep one guest per row and a header row with column names. A name column is all PlanSeats needs; everything else is optional.

On the free plan an import stops at 20 guests and waits. After you upgrade the rest comes in on its own.
